Information we collect
Information you provide. Contact forms, email, phone, and messages you send us. Job and checksheet data you enter in GenTech Helper (customer names, addresses, equipment notes, photos, signatures) stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them (for example Share to Gmail).
Google Calendar (optional). If you connect Google in GenTech Helper, we request only the OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly so the app can read calendar events for the work day you select. We do not request Gmail, Drive, or Contacts OAuth scopes for day load. You can disconnect Google access in your Google Account permissions at any time.
Device / local storage. GenTech Helper stores settings and job data locally on your tablet or phone (including offline use). We do not operate a MasterTech cloud database of your job contents.
Technical logs. Hosting providers (for example Netlify) may process standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) as part of delivering the site or app.
How we use information
- To run MasterTech’s website and apps
- To show your calendar day list in GenTech Helper when you authorize Google Calendar read
- To respond to contact requests and support email
- To improve reliability and fix bugs
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising.
Google user data and Limited Use
The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. (Google API Services User Data Policy)
GenTech Helper uses Google Calendar data only to show your work-day job list on your device. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or transfer it to others except as needed to provide that feature, for security, or as required by law.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and GenTech Helper
GenTech Helper does not send Google Calendar data, or anything derived from it, to any artificial intelligence or machine learning service, whether third-party or self-hosted. We do not use Google user data to train or improve AI or machine learning models. GenTech Helper itself contains no AI model.
GenTech Helper can open MasterTech AI, a separate assistant that runs on the owner's own computer on a private network. GenTech Helper does not pass Google Calendar data to it.
Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate the service (hosting providers), when you choose to export or email a checksheet, when required by law, or with your direction. Google processes Calendar data under Google’s terms when you authorize access.
Data retention
Local GenTech Helper data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall. Emails and files you send to MasterTech or to your employer stay in those mailboxes under those systems’ rules. Google Calendar data is read on demand and is not stored by MasterTech as a separate cloud archive.
Security
We use HTTPS for the site and app. Offline tools are designed offline-first; protect your tablet with your usual device lock. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
