Frequently asked questions

Plain answers for customers in Morgan, Berkeley & Jefferson Counties WV, Washington County MD, and the Winchester / Frederick County, VA area. Call (681) 513-9770 if you need something else.

How long does a job take?

Most troubleshooting, tune-ups, and setups are done in one visit or remote session. Custom PC builds depend on parts arriving. You get a realistic time range up front, and I call if that changes.

What does the troubleshooting fee cover?

The troubleshooting fee pays for finding the problem and giving you a written estimate. If you go ahead with the work, that fee is credited toward the total. If you decline, you only owe the troubleshooting fee.

How do you handle my data and passwords?

We only use passwords you authorize, and we do not keep customer passwords after the job. Your files are private. We confirm backups before any wipe or major OS reinstall whenever possible.

Should I back up first?

Yes, if you can — especially before a reset, an upgrade, or moving to a new computer. If you’re not sure how, a backup setup is one of the services I offer.

Remote or on-site?

Remote (Windows Quick Assist or similar, only with your permission) for many software issues. On-site at your home or office for networks, Wi-Fi, printers, smart home devices, and new setups. Not sure? Ask when you call and I’ll help you decide.

What are your hours?

Open 24 hours, 7 days.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, check, Cash App, or Zelle. You get the price before any work starts.

What services do you offer?

Computer troubleshooting and setup, tune-ups, custom PC planning & builds, network and smart home setup, web & AI tools, and small-business IT plans. Printable forms and downloads are in the Shop — those are products, not on-site trade services.

Can you build a custom PC?

Yes. Start with a free custom PC build consult — a clear parts list for your budget and how you use a computer.
